Brain Imaging Services using Spatial Mass Spectrometry

Brain Imaging Services using Spatial Mass Spectrometry

Spatial mass spectrometry is a label-free method that visualizes and quantifies the distribution of targeted or non-targeted chemicals in brain tissue sections. It allows for the simultaneous acquisition of information on the spatial distribution of hundreds to thousands of molecules by combining sample sections with a mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) instrument. The analysis technology can help researchers understand the distribution of different chemicals, such as drugs, metabolites, neurotransmitters, lipids, peptides and small proteins, in brain tissue.

Services Overview

CD BioSciences provides comprehensive brain imaging services using spatial mass spectrometry imaging (MSI). Our services include ADME analysis, neuroscience research, drug blood-brain barrier permeability assessment and pathological research. In addition, we also provide customers with customized services, covering project design, sample preparation, and tissue section imaging one-stop solutions.

Brain Imaging Services using Spatial Mass Spectrometry

ADME analysis services

CD BioSciences enables simultaneous, label-free quantitative analysis of drugs and metabolites in brain tissue using MSI.

Neuroscience research services

  • The MSI enables simultaneous imaging, identification and quantification of absolute concentrations of multiple neurotransmitters, neurotransmitter precursors and metabolites in brain tissue slices.
  • Assist researchers in gaining insight into the function of the neurotransmitter system and related diseases.

Drug blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability assessment services

  • Using MSI allows for the visualization and quantification of drug distribution in the brain, especially as it relates to blood-brain barrier permeability.
  • Help clients accurately determine drug permeability and gain insight into drug distribution in brain structures.

Pathological research services

  • MSI has the unique ability to detect and characterize tumor cells and their surroundings in a spatial context.
  • Our analysis can help detect and characterize tumor cells, neurodegenerative disease markers, and other pathological properties to understand the pathogenesis of disease.

Pathological research

Sample requirements

  • Sample type
Fresh or frozen tissue samples are required and have not been treated with formalin soaking, staining or labeling.
  • Sample size
Conventional sample size of no more than 1 cm is recommended to ensure that high-resolution and detailed image information can be obtained during imaging.

Deliverables

  • Experiment report (including experimental methods)
  • Statistical analysis form
  • Raw images of brain imaging using spatial mass spectrometry

Our Advantages

  • Brain imaging services using spatial mass spectrometry typically do not require labeling, and information on multiple compounds can be obtained in a single analysis.
  • Both non-targeted analyses can be accomplished as well as targeted analysis with high sensitivity.
  • Allows imaging of multiple molecules and simultaneous analysis of multiple non-targeted compounds.
  • Not only can provide information on the spatial distribution of molecules, but also provide information on the molecular structure of target compounds.

CD BioSciences has a professional team and advanced imaging equipment. The whole process of brain imaging services using spatial mass spectrometry is operated by experienced technicians to ensure the accuracy of the experiment. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.
