Cerebrovascular Imaging Services
Brain is a highly vascularized organ, and the vascular network is responsible for supplying the brain with oxygen and nutrients to support normal neuronal function and activity. Therefore, understanding the morphology and function of the cerebral vasculature is important for understanding the normal physiological processes of the brain and the mechanisms of cerebrovascular disease. Cerebrovascular imaging provides a comprehensive view of the entire cerebrovascular system, helping researchers to understand the structure and function of the cerebrovascular, and to detect and study cerebrovascular-related diseases (e.g., stroke, cerebral angioma, and cerebral stenosis).
Services Overview
CD BioSciences provides clients with comprehensive cerebrovascular imaging analysis services, enabling high-resolution imaging of the mouse cerebral vasculature. The services we provide include the construction of detailed brain tissue vascular maps, 3D cerebral vascular imaging analysis, stroke vascular imaging analysis, cerebral ischemia imaging analysis, cerebral blood flow and hemodynamic testing. These services provide important information for studying brain function and disease.
Cerebrovascular Imaging Services
Cerebrovascular stereotactic imaging services
CD BioSciences utilizes Nissl staining and resin embedding methods to perform cerebrovascular stereotactic imaging on mouse models. Combined with MOST technology, high-resolution imaging of the entire mouse brain vasculature is achieved at a voxel resolution of 1 micron. Our imaging service provides clients with the following information:
- Construction and identification of detailed cerebral vascular maps, including arteries, veins, arterioles, and venules.
- Three-dimensional reconstruction and precise localization of blood vessel branch starting points.
- Quantitative analysis of connectivity and blood supply relationships between arteries, veins, and brain regions.
3D cerebrovascular imaging services
We will use the following methods/techniques to perform 3D imaging analysis of cerebrovascular:
Tissue clearing technique services
The tissue clearing technique involves the use of biochemical agents to remove components that cause light scattering and absorption, achieving uniform refractive index and optical homogeneity in the tissue. This enables the observation of the three-dimensional distribution of blood vessels in brain tissue.
3D fluorescence imaging analysis
High-resolution three-dimensional fluorescence imaging techniques are utilized to capture the minute details of brain blood vessels, enabling the acquisition of 3D spatial information and providing detailed information on the distribution of the blood vessels.
Tissue labeling analysis
Tissue labeling is an approach where specific cells within the tissue are marked using cell-specific markers. By employing microscopy for observation and statistical analysis, it allows for a clear qualitative, positional, and quantitative analysis of target proteins, nucleic acids, subcellular structures, and other components within brain tissue.
Brain stroke microvascular 3D imaging services
- Establish a diabetic ischemic stroke mouse model through high-fat diet and middle cerebral artery occlusion to study the impact of diabetes on the cerebrovascular system.
- Assess microvascular damage in a diabetic ischemic stroke model by imaging blood-brain barrier integrity and vasculature.
Cerebral ischemic whole brain imaging services
To provide imaging analysis of cerebral ischemic using the middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) mouse model, observe and analyze changes at the cellular level in mouse models of cerebral ischemia.
Cerebral hippocampal angiography analysis services
- Assess the integrity of the brain's hippocampal blood vessels to understand the status of the vessel wall and the function of the blood-brain barrier.
- Observe the connections between nerves and blood vessels in the hippocampus region of the brain and study the impact of vascular abnormalities in neurodegenerative diseases.
- Measure hemodynamic parameters in the hippocampus region of the brain, such as blood flow velocity, blood flow, and vascular resistance, to evaluate the functional status of blood vessels.
Cerebral blood flow and hemodynamic testing services
Use non-invasive imaging technology to monitor and record the cerebral blood flow of mice in real time to obtain the following information:
- Cerebral blood flow measurement: measure blood flow velocity and blood vessel cross-sectional area, and calculate cerebral blood flow.
- Hemodynamic parameter measurement: including measurement of blood flow velocity, blood flow resistance, blood vessel elasticity and other parameters.
