DNA Structure Imaging Services

DNA is an abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid, which is present in all prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and many viruses. Single-stranded DNA molecules can be assembled into highly complex 1D, 2D and 3D superstructures with specific functions. In the cell, DNA and protein assemble into chromosomes. Real-time study of DNA structure and DNA-protein interaction at the cellular level requires the most advanced biological imaging technology.

DNA Structure Imaging Analysis

Since Franklin revealed the double helix structure of DNA, a series of biophysical techniques such as X-ray crystallography, electron microscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance have been used to characterize DNA structure. However, these technologies are limited by spatial resolution and cannot perform high-resolution studies on the local helical structure and mechanics of DNA molecules. Atomic force microscope is an effective imaging tool, which can image and characterize the structure of a single biomolecule under physiological conditions.

CD BioSciences has been committed to the research and development of fluorescent probes and imaging technology for many years. We can image and analyze the secondary and tertiary structures of DNA by atomic force microscope to study the intramolecular variation between the depth of grooves in DNA molecules and the interaction between protein and DNA.
