Liver Imaging Services

Liver Imaging Services

Liver lesions have a broad pathological spectrum, covering everything from benign liver lesions such as hemangioma to malignant lesions such as primary hepatocellular carcinoma and metastases. Imaging plays a key role in the study of these diseases. However, due to the special histoanatomical characteristics of the liver, it is difficult to fully characterize liver tissue function.

Services Overview

CD BioSciences will provide customers with advanced liver imaging services using advanced technologies, including mass spectrometry, 3D imaging and in vivo animal imaging. Our services assist clients with a comprehensive assessment of liver anatomy, tissue structure, and hemodynamics. In addition, metabolomic information of liver tissue can also be obtained to understand changes in liver metabolism and toxicity mechanisms, and to evaluate liver tumors and liver lesions.

Liver Imaging Services

Mass spectrometry imaging combined with machine learning

CD BioSciences uses mass spectrometry imaging technology combined with machine learning methods to study the metabolomics of mouse liver. Through AP-MALDI mass spectrometry imaging analysis, we are able to provide the following information:

  • Analysis of metabolites in mouse liver tissue helps discover statistically significant biomarkers.
  • Machine learning can be used to perform statistical analysis on mass spectrometry imaging data extracted from mouse livers to build an accurate regression model to distinguish liver tissue from damaged mice from control mice.
  • Use metabolomic pathway analysis methods to reveal the metabolic pathways that may be affected and gain an in-depth understanding of liver metabolic changes and toxicity mechanisms.

Liver tissue 3D imaging analysis services

CD BioSciences uses three-dimensional imaging technology, such as non-invasive MRI scanning technology, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of liver anatomy, tissue structure and function. Obtain quantitative information on pathology, drug screening, hemodynamics, and more, which mainly used in the following aspects:

Tumor detection and evaluation

  • Accurately obtain the depth of tumor metastasis in the animal's liver, and determine the actual location of the metastasis based on the relative position of the organ.
  • Accurately quantify tumor cell numbers and evaluate the efficacy of anti-tumor and anti-metastasis drugs.

Hemodynamic analysis

  • Three-dimensional imaging of the liver can evaluate the hemodynamics of the liver and obtain information such as arterial blood flow and portal blood flow.

Liver lesion assessment

  • Through three-dimensional imaging of the liver, the shape, number, size, and location of liver lesions, such as liver cysts, hepatic hemangiomas, etc., can be evaluated.

Liver Imaging Services

Live animals in vivo optical imaging services

We provide two technologies, bioluminescence and fluorescence, for in vivo optical imaging of small animals. Our bioluminescence technology mainly uses the luciferase gene (Luciferase) to label cells or DNA. Fluorescence technology uses fluorescent reporter genes such as green fluorescent protein and red fluorescent protein, and fluorescent dyes such as FITC, Cy5, and Cy7.

  • Provide experimental animals and inject corresponding drugs, cells or lentivirus labeled with luminescent systems into small animals according to customer requirements.
  • According to customer needs, perform in vivo imaging of small animals, or remove liver tissue/organs for in vitro imaging.

CD BioSciences has a professional team and advanced imaging equipment. The whole process of liver imaging analysis is operated by experienced technicians to ensure the accuracy of the experiment. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us. We can also customize liver imaging analysis services for you according to specific needs.
