Kidney Imaging Services

The total number of renal units in each normal individual is approximately 200,000 to over 2 million. These delicate microstructures, including the arrangement of glomeruli, tubules, blood vessels, interstitium and nerve fibers, are essential for maintaining normal renal function and health. Kidney imaging can obtain microanatomical structures and quantitative data of the kidneys to help study disease mechanisms and assess drug toxicity and effects on the kidneys.

Services Overview

CD BioSciences provides comprehensive renal imaging analysis services using animal models. We use advanced imaging techniques to visualize and analyze the structure, function and molecular composition of the kidney, providing researchers with important information studying kidney disease.

Our Kidney Imaging Services

Animal live imaging analysis services

CD BioSciences provides animal in vivo kidney imaging analysis services for rat, mouse and other animal models. Our services mainly include the following:

Renal blood flow imaging

  • Renal blood flow imaging analysis of animal models using ultrasound technology, presenting ultra-high resolution images and providing superb blood flow Doppler signals.
  • Help researchers to assess the dynamic changes in renal blood flow in animals.

Renal microvascular imaging analysis

Provide detailed information on the structure and function of the microvasculature, as well as data about the microcirculatory system through high-resolution imaging.

Kidney whole organ imaging

We can image the whole kidney of an animal to obtain detailed information about kidney structure and morphology.

Non-invasive assessment of kidney tissue elasticity

Provide non-invasive assessment of the elasticity of kidney tissues, and study the mechanical properties (e.g., elasticity and stiffness) of kidney tissues.

Mass spectrometry imaging analysis services

CD BioSciences has access to MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry imaging systems that can help researchers comprehensively analyze the functional and structural characteristics of the kidney. With our service, clients can obtain the following information:

  • Visual analysis of biomolecules and metabolites, such as peptides and proteins, localized on tissue sections of rat/mouse kidney.
  • Observe significant differences in the spatial distribution of multiple lipids, for example:
    • Lysophosphatidylglycerophospholipids (Lyso-GPs)
    • Phosphatidic acid (PA)
    • Phosphatidylcholine (PC)
    • Phosphatidylethanolamine (PE)
    • Phosphatidylserine (PS)
    • Sphingomyelin (SM)
    • Sulfated threonine (ST)
  • Evaluate renal morphological changes and lipid metabolism disorders.
  • Obtain spatial distribution and quantitative information about different biomolecules in kidney tissues.

CD BioSciences has a professional team and advanced imaging equipment. The whole process of kidney imaging analysis is operated by experienced technicians to ensure the accuracy of the experiment. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us. We can also customize kidney imaging analysis services for you according to specific needs.
