Cell Proliferation Imaging Services
Cell proliferation is a biological process in which the number of cells increases over time through cell division. Cell proliferation analysis can be used to evaluate the health status of normal cells, measure the response to toxic injury, or as a prognostic and diagnostic tool for a variety of cancers. The current cell proliferation analysis methods mostly indirectly evaluate the growth of cell populations, such as the determination of cell metabolism or proliferation-specific proteins. However, cell proliferation imaging analysis can visually analyze the process of cell proliferation, which has become a research hotspot in recent years.

Cell Proliferation Imaging Analysis
CD BioSciences can provide you with highly automated, label-free dynamic cell proliferation analysis services. We used a digital holographic microscope (DHM) to develop a label-free kinetic cell proliferation assay with high time resolution for adherent cells. Since no labels or stains are required, and only very low-intensity illumination is required, this technology allows non-invasive continuous cell imaging.
Cell Proliferation Imaging Analysis Workflow
Quantitative phase imaging is very suitable for live cell imaging, which allows cells to be repeatedly imaged to provide a large number of data points without causing phototoxicity. This method can non-destructively assess cell proliferation by direct cell counting in a standard multiwell plate, and its analysis efficiency is much higher than traditional cell proliferation analysis methods. The following are the detailed steps for quantitative phase imaging to analyze cell proliferation.
Step 1
Experiment plan
Design your experiment, considering the instruments and reagents required for cell proliferation imaging and analysis.
Step 2
Cell culture
The target cells are cultured in a medium containing the substances required for cell growth, and all cells are maintained in a water-saturated atmosphere of 37°C and 5% CO2.
Step 3
Time-lapse recording
After the treated cells were seeded into a 96-well plate, they were immediately placed on a motorized stage in a cell incubator, and imaging was performed at 30-minute intervals within 36 hours.
Step 4
Automatic cell recognition
Use computer software to automatically process the time-lapse image sequence of all cell lines.
Step 5
Statistical Analysis
Use the cell imaging analysis software to analyze the cell proliferation.
