Immune Cell Killing Imaging Services

Immune Cell Killing Imaging Services

Cancer immunotherapy aims to harness and enhance the natural power of the immune system to combat cancer. This involves various types of immune cells, such as NK cells, cytotoxic T cells, B lymphocytes, engineered antibodies, and genetically engineered T cells. Studying the process of immune cell killing is essential to understand how the immune system eliminates cancer cells. Immune cell killing imaging provides a valuable method for studying and assessing the immune system's ability to combat cancer.

Service Overview

CD BioSciences' immune cell imaging services overcome the limitations of traditional immune cell killing (ICK) assessment techniques such as flow cytometry and biochemical readouts. We use a non-invasive, non-invasive imaging platform to perform in-depth studies of immune cells, antibody function and immune killing.

By using imaging techniques, we can observe immune cell activities, track their interactions with cancer cells, and evaluate the effectiveness of different immune cell types and therapies in killing cancer cells.

Immune Cell Killing Imaging Services Contents

At CD BioSciences, our services enable clients to analyze, visualize, quantify, and understand the dynamic interactions between immune cells and cancer cells, complementing existing immune or immuno-oncology protocols. The services we provide include, but are not limited to:

Dynamic interactions between immune cells and cancer cells

  • Observe and quantify the dynamic interactions between immune cells and cancer cells in complex co-culture models.
  • Reveal cellular interactions and immune synapses.
  • Provide insights into the immune response against cancer.

Analyze tumor cell death and viability

Utilize non-perturbing reagents and visual image analysis tools to selectively quantify tumor or immune cell proliferation and apoptosis.

Identify immune cells that exhibit repetitive or sequential killing in vivo

Observe repeated killing and depletion by repeatedly adding effector T cells to fresh target cells until effector cells no longer kill.

Evaluate a variety of relevant immune and tumor cell co-culture models - in 2D or 3D

We can evaluate a variety of relevant models, including:

  • PBMC
  • Cytotoxic T lymphocytes
  • NK cells co-cultured with adherent or suspended tumor cell types.

In the T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) formats, customers have the option to:

  • Use specific effector and target cells.
  • Track the killing effect of immune cells on tumor sphere models over time.
  • Visualize and analyze the killing effect through visualization and quantitative analysis.

Immune Cell Killing Imaging Workflow

Experimental design and sample preparation

Step 1

Experimental design and sample preparation

Determine the purpose and conditions of the experiment, prepare the required immune and target cell samples, ensure cell culture and handling conditions.

Co-culture preparation

Step 2

Co-culture preparation

Select appropriate media and supplements according to the experimental requirements, mix immune cells and target cells in appropriate ratios.

Add fluorescent probes

Step 3

Add fluorescent probes

Label the cells using appropriate reagents or fluorescent probes.

Image capture

Step 4

Image capture

Using appropriate imaging equipment, start image acquisition at the appropriate time point and observe real-time dynamic changes.

Image analysis

Step 5

Image analysis

Process and analyze the acquired images using image analysis software.

Our Advantages

  • Real-time quantification of dynamic interactions. Enables measurement and observation of interactions in complex co-cultures.
  • Flexible assay formats. A variety of relevant immune and tumor cell co-culture models can be evaluated, including 2D or 3D formats.
  • Optimized protocols to enhance productivity. Use optimized reagents and protocols to assess immune cell killing in 96- or 384-well plates without the need for washing, cell lifting, or radiolabeling.
  • Highly sensitive, accurate and direct measurement of killing potency.
  • Efficient and time-saving. Simply inoculate cells and start monitoring to study immune cell killing kinetics under physiological conditions.
